This is part of a series of volumes publishing papers dealing with modelling issues in the electronic domain. The objective is to establish a communication channel between academia and industry which will serve the growing needs in the field of modelling.
This is part of a series of volumes publishing peer-reviewed papers dealing with modelling issues in the electronic domain. The objective is to establish a communication channel between academia and industry which will serve the growing needs in the field of modelling. Electronic hardware modelling is the art of describing a device, or a system, for a given purpose (simulation, synthesis, and so on) by the use of pre-established conventions (charts, languages). Modelling is attractive since it provides for simplification and abstraction of the actual object or process. Using common modelling techniques and conventions facilitates communication and information sharing and helps speed the process of design, fabrication, testing and manufacturing. During the 1990s there has been an increase in the development and use of modelling languages, models and modelling techniques. The overall objective of this series is to provide a platform for dissemination of the basic concepts, techniques, and applications of modelling.
