Dr. Cheng Wang has more than 18 year experiment on computer vision R&D for remote sensing and mapping. His researchinterests include 3D point cloud and remote sensing image analysis, video enhancement, information fusion and mobile mappingdata processing. He published over 110 papers in academic journals and conferences, received 2 international paper awards, andthe Outstanding researcher Prize by major project in 863 National High-tech R&D Program.He was the PI or Co-PI of over 20 research projects and successfully led the design of many advanced computer vision systems forremote sensing and mapping, such as the commercialized ARVEE for automatic road vector extraction.Dr. Wang is also the Co-Chair of the Working Group I/3 "multi-platform multi-sensor system calibration" (2008-2012, 2012-2016) inthe International Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS), the council member of the Chinese Society of Imageand Graphics (CSIG).
