This work aims to provide the student apprentice with a sound understanding of plumbing principles and processes using both modern and traditional materials. It is directed at those studying for the first and second year of the City and Guilds Craft Certificate course in Plumbing, as well as those on plumbing courses in technical colleges and Government Training Centres. The emphasis is on practical aspects, covering tools and materials, and providing descriptions of working processes and the manual skills which a student must learn in order to qualify successfully as a trainee plumber.
