Identifies safety precautions for towers and exchangers. Includes maintenance procedures for a tower, as well as removal and installation of exchangers and trays.

34406 Stress Relieving (10 Hours)

Introduces thermal expansion and relief methods available to minimize pipe stressors. Pays particular attention to safety precautions that must be followed for welding or high-heat processes. 

 



34407 Quality Assurance (10 Hours)

Introduces the concept of standardization and how it affects day-to-day work. Discusses the governing organizations of boilermaking and how imposed standards are incorporated into procedures used for various boiler components.

 

34408 Boiler Design (20 Hours)

Introduces trainees to different boiler designs and various boiler components used to increase efficiency.

 

34409 Planning Work Activities (10 Hours)

Teaches how to apply the skills presented in previous modules when planning work activities. Also teaches how to incorporate safety requirements, perform material takeoffs, and sequence operations.
