Furmston: Building Contract Casebook: Front Flap Copy The major part of the law of building contracts is laid down in decided cases, scattered throughout a large number of law reports. Construction professionals must be familiar with these cases and this important book is designed to help them.
This well established reference book brings together leading cases on building contracts to illustrate legal principles. It provides a statement of the principle established, a summary of the facts and the decision and, for most cases, a verbatim extract of the judgment. The latest edition includes a number of new cases since the last edition was published in 1999.

M.P. Furmston TD, MA, BCL, LLM, Bencher of Gray's Inn, was Professor of Law at the University of Bristol from 1978-98. He is now Emeritus Professor and senior research fellow. He is the editor of Construction Law Reports. Vincent Powell-Smith LLM, DLitt, FCIArb was a leading authority on building contracts and a practicing arbitrator.
