Agnaldo Garcia obtained his Doctorate in Psychology from the University of São Paulo. Currently, he is a professor in Psychology at the Federal University of Espírito Santo, Brazil. He has published more than 150 papers, book chapters and books. His recent publications have focused on interpersonal relationships in the migratory context and international scientific cooperation. He is the founder editor of Interpersona: An International Journal on Personal Relationships. He has organized three editions of the Brazilian Conference on Interpersonal Relationships, and a meeting of the Interamerican Society of Psychology in Brazil. He has edited two books published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing, Love, Family and Friendship: A Latin American Perspective and International Friendships: The Interpersonal Basis of a Worldwide Community. He has received financial support from the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), in Brazil, for more than a decade, receiving several research grants for scientific productivity.
