This book includes the proceedings of the Responsible Engineering and Living 2022 Symposium and Industry Summit.

Molière holds each of us accountable when he asserted that, 'It is not only for what we do that we are held responsible, but also for what we do not do.' Responsible Engineering and Living 2022 (REAL2022) strived to inspire every individual to practise and foster responsible engineering and living. Its proceedings brings all stakeholders, enthusiasts and experts from academia, industry, policy arenas, and general public, together to discuss challenges, sharpen existing solutions, and formulate novel means to advance responsible engineering and living. This symposium disseminates recent progress and promote collaborations to maximize opportunities for innovative solutions. Topics of interest include resource and energy conservation, waste reduction, nature-friendly engineering and architecture, and sustainable vibrant living.

Dr. David S-K. Ting is the founder of the Turbulence & Energy Laboratory, University of Windsor. As a professor in the Department of Mechanical, Automotive and Materials Engineering, he supervises students primarily on energy and flow turbulence. To date, he has co/supervised over ninety graduate students, co-authored more than one hundred and sixty journal papers, authored five textbooks and co-edited twenty volumes.

Dr. Ahmad Vasel-Be-Hagh is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering and the Founding Principal Investigator of the Fluid Mechanics Research Laboratory at Tennessee Technological University. He researches fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and thermodynamics using analytical and computational fluid dynamics and laboratory/field experiments. His research applications include thermal power plants, wind farms, energy storage, aircraft and submarines, and marine hydrokinetic devices. To date, he has published 22 articles in scientific journals and six chapters in research books. He has edited three books, four proceedings, and multiple special issues.
