The present study aimed at investigating the effectiveness of Literature - based Curriculum in developing preparatory students Reading Skills and attitudes. Sixty third year EFL preparatory school students from Dayrout Prep school , El Mahmoudia Administration, Behiera Governate, were randomly chosen to be trained on Literature-based Curiculum teaching strategy to develop their reading skills and attitudes in the academic year2013-2014.During the study a pre-post test was administered to the experimental group and the control group . A post test related to the allocated story was administered to the two groups. An attitude questionnaire was administered to the two groups. The results of the study supported the two study hypotheses: - there is a statistically significant difference at 0.01 or 0.05 levels between the mean scores of the experimental group and the control group in the first reading skills post test and in the second post test in favor of the experimental group.
