She has two children, one of whom has Asperger's Syndrome. She is the author of Incorporating Social Goals in the Classroom: A Guide for Teachers and Parents of Children with High-Functioning Autism and Asperger Syndrome and Addressing the Challenging Behavior of Children with High Functioning Autism/Asperger Syndrome in the Classroom, both published by JKP. She lives in New Kensington, Pennsylvania.
