Lilyan Reese Strassman, LCSW-R holds a Masters of Science Degree in Social Work, with a double major in Biology. Her studies supported her belief in the Mind-Body integrative healing powers of the human being. A Psychotherapist for 30+ years, with a commitment to Mind-Body integrative principles, Lilyan was drawn to the ACADEMY FOR GUIDED IMAGERY. She studied, excelled, graduated and earned 'Faculty Status' from the Academy. As Director of Clinical Services at a 'Special Ed' High School in CA for 13 years, her work was 'Hands on', regardless of her status. She witnessed her students, with their transformative changes evolve into emotionally centered human beings. Lilyan was born singing. A member of NY's Musician's Union 802, she sang professionally in her 20's. Later, she sang with John Nelson's Pro-Arte Double Chorale and presently sings with Stephen Michael Smith's Choir at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Shelter Rock, Manhasset, NY. OUR VISIBLE INVISIBLE WORLD is Lilyan's first published book. She maintains a Private Practice in Manhasset, NY.
