Insight Editions is a pop-culture publisher based in San Rafael, CA. Gino Garcia is a Latinx chef, educator, recipe developer, and writer based in the Land of the Living – specifically in Seattle, Washington. His work focuses mostly on the regional cuisines and cultures of Mexico, where his familial roots are. He earned a Culinary Degree from Seattle Central Culinary Academy and has worked in nearly every type of kitchen in the food industry, but his true love is in the exploration and understanding of Latin American Foodways. Gino has hosted pop-ups and guest chef events, and his culinary creations have been featured in the Seattle Times, Mexico In My Pocket, Chicano Eats, and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. Prior to entering the food scene, he worked in the public health sector on issues such as improving nutrition and food access in immigrant and BIPOC communities. Though he has watched Coco countless times, Gino cries every single time without fail and continues to fall deeper in love with this magical film. You can follow Gino on Instagram @ MextizoPNW.
