Emily Thiroux Threatt is a textbook author and lecturer with extensive personal experience in the grieving process due to the deaths of her two husbands, as well as her father, mother, aunts, uncles and many friends. She has learned to face life with love, optimism, and joy. In turn, she has created a unique program called, “Writing Your Way Through Grief” to help others through the grieving process. She holds a Master’s Degree in English with a concentration in Writing. She has been teaching writing and composition on the college and university level over 30 years. During that time, she published the following three writing textbooks, published by Prentice Hall and Pearson Education. Emily conducts workshops, speaking engagements, and retreats on transforming from loss on the mainland of the United States and in her home in Hawaii.
