"Where the Sea had an Ending" is an attempt to produce a different kind of travel book about the West Indies. It is the result of a long love affair with the region by the author. It also gives the views of a number of different travellers including Christopher Colombus and Charles Kingsley.
"Macmillan Primary English for Rwanda" is a six-level course for Rwandan primary schools. It introduces the structures and functions of English throughout a variety of stimulating activities. The early levels focus on building vocabulary, listening and speaking, as well as introducing reading and writing. At the upper levels, these skills are developed and practised through more demanding work in cross-curricular contexts. Each level provides: a pupil's book - illustrated in full colour throughout; and a teacher's book - with detailed lessons plans and ideas for further activities.

Barbados - "the prosperous and civilized little cane-garden"; Guyana - "the transatlantic Eden"; Trinidad - "only one mother"; Tobago - " a mere apanage?"; Greneda - "the headquarters of the world for fruit"; St Vincent - "a peaceful, soothing retreat"; St Lucia - "the Helen of the West Indies"; Martinique - "le pays des revenants"; Dominica - "this romantic spot on earth"; Isla de Aves - "island of the birds"; Guadeloupe - "a braue fruitfull iland"; Montserrat - "Shamrock island of the Caribbean"; Antigua - "near to perfection"; Barbuda - "such a barren rocke"; Redonda - "a mere volcanic peak"; Nevis - "a quakeress in the company of Spanish dancers"; St Kitts - "a highly cultivated garden"; St Eustatius - "the Golden Rock"; Saba - "a healthy and prosperous sphere"; St Barthelemy - "the little pebble"; St Martin - "land of salt"; Anguilla - "the exact antipode of the large plantations of sugar"; Sombrero - "first outlier of the New World"; Tortola - "a long way from the Isle of Man"; Anegada - "this drowned island"; St Thomas - "this little Western Tyre"; St Croix - "far more of a real country"; Turks and Caicos Islands - "islands of the greatest consequence?"; the Bahamas - "Isles of Summer"; Navassa - "the great petrified sponge"; Jamaica - "a marveilous fertil Isle"; Cayman Islands - "certaine islands of sand"; Belize - "the first place settled after deluge".
