An extraordinarily inspiring story about love, family, cancer ... and unicycles.
Samuel and Connie Johnson were born a year apart, so they've always been close. Growing up they played together, explored the neighbourhood together.
When Connie was first diagnosed with cancer when at just twelve, they faced and fought that together too. They did it again at when she was 22. Now, cruelly, at 35, when her kids are still young, her cancer has reappeared. Her brother Samuel is still with her every step of the way but this time things are different - Connie is dying and she doesn't have much time left.
Faced with the fight of her life, Connie set Samuel the toughest challenge she could think of. It started as a joke in the kitchen. It turned into a promise.
The goal? To set a new Guinness World Record for the most distance travelled on a unicycle, raise $1 million and spread Connie's message about breast cancer awareness, so other women don't have to say goodbye to those they love.
Samuel, one of Australia's favourite actors, cleared his diary and kept his promise, riding a one-wheeled bike around Australia and breaking the Guinness World Record for longest unicycle ride. He has raised over a million dollars for breast cancer research and isn't stopping. Nor is Connie, who is determined to face death with courage and wants her life to make a difference.
These two Australians show that while love might not conquer all, it makes it much easier to face the tough times. Part biography, part memoir, part diary, part travelogue LOVE YOUR SISTER is an inspiring and unforgettable story.
