Dr. Xingchen Jiao received his Ph.D. from The University of Science and Technology of China in 2019, under the supervision of Prof. Yi Xie. During his Ph.D. research, Dr. Jiao focused on the synthesis and characterization of nanostructures, especially two-dimensional materials, as well as their applications in CO2 photo-/electro-conversion into carbonaceous fuels. Since June 2019 he has worked as a postdoctoral research associate at The University of Science and Technology of China, where he turned research interest to the design of high-efficiency catalysts for converting waste plastics into valuable chemicals under mild conditions. Dr. Jiao has co-published 28 refereed journal papers (to 31 May, 2022), including 10 papers as the first/co-first authors in flagship Materials & Chemistry journals such as Chem. Soc. Rev. (1), J. Am. Chem. Soc. (2), Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. (2), Adv. Mater. (1), ACS Cent. Sci. (1), and others. He was awarded the ExcellentDoctoral Dissertation of Chinese Academy of Sciences (2021), the President's Award of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (2019), the National Scholarship for Doctoral Students (2018) and the National Scholarship for Postgraduate students (2016).
