Dr Gowher A. Wani graduated from the University of Kashmir, India, where he obtained his PhD (in conjunction with Laval University, Canada). He currently works as a National Postdoctoral Fellow in the Division of Plant Biotechnology at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, India. His research explores the patterns and impacts of biological invasion of aquatic plant species using quantitative genetic techniques and molecular biology techniques to unravel the phenotypic and genetic variations of invasive species across native and non-native regions and understand their phylogeography in different wetlands of India and Canada.Dr Manzoor A. Shah received his PhD from Laval University, Canada, and the University of Kashmir, India. He currently teaches in the Department of Botany at the University of Kashmir, and has been a faculty affiliate at the University of Montana, USA and a Visiting Professor at King Saud University, Saudi Arabia. His research interests include plant invasions from a biogeography and molecular ecological perspective.
