This book focuses on nanorobotic agents and stem cells for biomedical applications. It is intended for researchers and clinicians interested in innovative diagnostic and therapeutic strategies based on nanorobots and stem cells. It presents current advances in the field of molecular machines, which could be applied to generate novel therapeutic-diagnostic systems.

Tomasz Jadczyk, MD, is a resident physician at the 3rd Division of Cardiology at the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice, Poland. He is a member of the European Society of Cardiology and European Society of Nanomedicine.

Ewa Bryndza Tfaily, PhD, is a postdoctoral research associate at the Orthopedics Department at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Her research focuses on novel therapeutical approaches in nerve regeneration.

Sachin Mishra, M.Tech, is an engineer at the Cognitive Neuroimaging Centre (CoNiC) at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. His research interests include cognitive neuroimaging, mind machine interfacing and bio-design.

Marek Jędrzejek is a medical student at the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice, Poland. His field of interest is related to acute care medicine. He is a European Resuscitation Council certified instructor and course director.

Marta Bołoz, MS, graduated from the School of Health Sciences at the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice, Poland. Her research has focused on the application of nanotechnology in physiotherapy.

Parasuraman Padmanabhan, PhD, is deputy director, Translational Neuroscience at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine and head of operations at the Centre for Neuroimaging Research at Nanyang Technological University (CeNReN), Singapore. He is an expert on multimodal molecular imaging approaches in preclinical area of research.

Wojciech Wojakowski, MD, PhD, is a professor of cardiology and department head of the 3rd Division of Cardiology at the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice, Poland. He is also a fellow of the European Society of Cardiology.

Zdeněk Stárek, MD, PhD, is the head of the Electrophysiology department at St. Anne's University Hospital Brno and Head of the Interventional Cardiac Electrophysiology group at the International Clinical Research Center, Brno, Czech Republic.

Sylvain Martel, P.Eng., Ph.D., FIEEE, FCAE, is a professor and director of the NanoRobotics Laboratory at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering, Polytechnique Montréal and the Canada Research Chair in Medical Nanorobotics. His fields of interest include micro- and nanosystems, nanorobotics and development of novel medical interventional platforms.

Balázs Gulyás, MD, PhD, is a professor at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine and director of the Centre for Neuroimaging Research at Nanyang Technological University (CeNReN), Singapore. His research focuses on molecular neuroimaging with positron emission tomography (PET), with special regard to neurological and psychiatric diseases and cognitive neuroimaging with functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), magnetoencephalography (MEG) and electroencephalography (EEG).
