Tobacco use accounts for nearly one third of all cancer deaths. Tens of thousands of women die year from lung cancer. In addition to increasing the risk for lung cancer, smoking is a risk factor for cancers of the cervix, mouth, larynx, pharynx (throat), esophagus, kidney, bladder, pancreas, and stomach.
