ROBERT A. SCHULMAN, MD, is clinical assistant professor of rehabilitation medicine at Weill Medical College of Cornell University and the assistant attending physiatrist at the New York Cornell Medical Center. He also maintains a private practice in New York City, and his articles have appeared widely in medical journals. CAROLYN DEAN, MD, ND, is a physician and certified dietitian-nutritionist specializing in the combined practice of medicine and nutrition. She collaborates with Andrew Weil, MD, on a monthly column called "Ask the Experts" in Natural Health magazine. She lives in New York City.
