The third edition of Gerard Egans bestselling text has been thoroughly updated with the latest research to support todays students in becoming effective helpers. Using a practical three stage process, it engages with helpers to build their confidence and teach them how to tackle the variety of complex situations which they might encounter throughout their work.

The Skilled Helper integrates the most relevant aspects of different theoretical orientations (humanistic, cognitive, behavioural and solution-focused) into a pragmatic approach to helping.
