Mazen M. Sinjab, MD, MSc, CABOphth, PhD, is a Professor at Damascus University, Syria, with more than 5000 hours of training and teaching experience in both clinical and surgical skills for medical students, residents and fellows at Damascus University and at Al Mouasat University Hospital (MUH), where he has been Consultant in Refractive Surgery, Keratoconus management, anterior segment and oculoplastic surgery. Prof. Sinjab is Senior Consultant in Ophthalmology at both SMC in Riyadh in SA, and GDCS in Bahrain. Prof. Sinjab has very extensive surgical experience, having taken part in tens of thousands of procedures, including photorefractive surgery, management of keratoconus, and miscellaneous other procedures. He is a member of The Royal College of Ophthalmologist of London in the UK, the Syrian Society of Ophthalmology, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the International Society of Refractive Surgery, and the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Prof. Sinjab is a reviewer for the Journal of Refractive Surgery and has published a number of books and journal articles. He is an examiner in the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in UK and Supervisor of researches in The Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland in Bahrain. Prof. Sinjab is an International Trainer in Corneal Topography/Tomography, Refractive Surgery and Modern Managements of Keratoconus. He has his own channel Sinjab Academy on YouTube, where he has many teaching videos for ophthalmologists.
