This book provides a detailed summary of all aspects of cardiac electrophysiology, presented in an easy to use handbook. For each arrhythmia the aetiology, classification, clinical presentation, mechanism, and electrophysiology is set up (including precise set up and ablation parameters) and trouble-shooting are presented and demonstrated using interesting images, fluoroscopy images, ECG's and electrograms.
The overall aim of this book is to provide a logical and practical approach to cardiac arrhythmia management. It acts as a useful resource and, importantly, helps to promote this sub-specialty.
This book is aimed at cardiac electrophysiologist's, fellows, cardiologists, physicians, family practitioners, cardiology trainees, students, allied professionals and nurses. Given its succinct summary of electrophysiology is a useful reference guide for the electrophysiology laboratory. It is aimed at an international audience and provides an important guide for those studying for all heart rhythm exams.

Dr Benedict M Glover is a consultant cardiac electrophysiologist and has published 25 articles and 30 abstracts in peer reviewed journals in the field of cardiac electrophysiology. He has also published the book 'A Clinical Approach to Cardiac Arrhythmia'. (National Services for Health Improvement. 2011). Having recently trained in cardiac electrophysiology he has a deep understanding of the requirements of a cardiac electrophysiology text book. He performs over 200 ablations per annum and has access to a high number of interesting cases and images.

Professor Pedro Brugada is a world renowned cardiac electrophysiologist. Along with his brother he described Brugada syndrome. He is the author of over 1000 peer reviewed articles and numerous books. He is sits on all of the major cardiac electrophysiology boards and is a reviewer for the Lancet, Circulation, Journal of the American College of Cardiology, American Journal of Cardiology, International Journal of Cardiology, European Heart Journal, Cleveland Clinic Journal of Medicine, PACE, Drugs, Cardioselecta, British Heart Journal, Journal of Electrophysiology, Drug Investigation, Cardiology in the Elderly, Transactions on Biomedical Engineering, Resuscitation.
