30 new cases offer entirely new content unique to the Gulde fifth and provides the basis to understand new issues that examiners encounter. The clinician can evaluate these cases and compare their assessment to the expert, who discusses how they evaluate each case. Musculoskeletal disorders are most common and therefore the majority of the cases deal with the upper/lower extremity, and spinal problems. The series of cases are presented in a consistent format 1) pertinent historical, physical examination and other data relevant to the assessment process 2) discussion of the process of assessing impairment, 3) comments of medical evaluation, medical analysis, and reference figures and tables. The cases reflect the knowledge and skills of some of the world's most experience evaluators. And all cases are peer reviewed.
