The Metric Handbook CD-ROM

A time-saving device intended for designers and architects. The CD uses illustrations from the 1998 edition of the "Metric handbook" to provide CAD drawings, information and tools. The illustrations are suitable for AutoCAD R11, R12, R13 and will work using AUtodesk and similar CAD systems.

"The Metric Handbook CD-ROM" is a time-saving device for every designer and architect. This CD uses the illustrations from the 1998 edition of "The Metric Handbook" to provide computer aided design drawings, information and CAD tools for those involved in creating buildings. For this first release, illustrations have been selected for conversion to CAD that will be of the most use for a designer working on a CAD system and looking for information of a specific type. The CAD illustrations are either: a copy of the book illustrations, drawn in CAD format; a 2D version of a 3D illustration; or a plan or elevation view of a 3D illustration if a 2D version is more useful in 2D CAD. Where the illustration represents an object such as an escalator or ramp that can vary in size, there is a routine that, for example, allows the user to set the length and creates a drawing that will adjust to this dimension. The illustrations are suitable for AutoCAD R11, R12, R13 and will also work using Autodesk and other similar CAD systems.
