In 1979, life took an unexpected turn for me. In the years of my younger life, I was reared under the influence of a good father who was a devout Muslim, as were all of his children in his house. After leaving my father's home, and establishing my own house of authority, intense studies of the Quran and the Bible became one of my life's focuses.As a result of my study and research, I became convicted to become a New Testament Christian soon after I started on a God-guided journey to preach and teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ at the tender age of 25.Over 42 years, it has been my good fortune to have preached the Gospel as a Minister, Preacher, and Teacher, in three congregations of the Lord's church, in the Mid-South, Mid-West, and North-East portions of the United States of America. Over that same period, I have traveled the world conducting lectures, workshops, Gospel Campaigns, seminars, and Gospel revivals in over 39 States, 95 Cities, and five Nations.Early in ministry, I developed a passion for training others to preach, teach and work in the context of local and National Ministry. To date, I have mentored and developed 18 preachers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the majority of which is currently serving in some capacity in Kingdom works.In 1982, while still working on a Bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies at the Memphis School of Preaching in Memphis, Tennessee, I discovered that I had been amply trained in Bible and related subjects yet knew little or nothing about church administration and management of difficult people and personalities, not to mention the untold components of ministry structure and organization.At this point, I studied everything I could get my hands on to equip myself better to engage in church administration and ministry management matters. I became driven to accomplish all I could for the God of my salvation with excellence. I wanted to go above and beyond the normal to make the cause of Christ shine. After all, when we serve a big God, we ought to accomplish big things in a big way.Over the years, several people have suggested that I sit down and put these many experiences in print. Therefore, this book is different from years of academic training. Still, the fruit of countless mountaintop and valley experiences garnered from having worked for the Lord in the context of the local church, traveling extensively around the world, and training gospel soldiers to do the work of God with excellence.It is my prayer and desire that my experiences will in some way benefit those who desire to serve the people of God and the world at large with excellence as they carry the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, after much introspection and deliberation, I determined to target this book toward Ministers or servants and others whom God may lead to serve in the context of local, national, and international ministry.By the time one has completed the content of this book, one should have a deeper grasp of those matters that go into formulating practical ministerial etiquette and protocols driven by a need to accomplish them with excellence.
