A power struggle erupts within the company and an attack is made on the college to reclaim the technology. Discovering his true origin, he fights back to protect the one he has come to love.

Britain and America learn of the battle, and chase and fight across the English countryside to capture the fleeing machine; but he realises that there is more at stake than his own survival.

The Inorganic transcends the science-fictional to explore the human condition on a philosophical and even theological level. It will even question the nature of life and love.
