Meditationen über Savitri sind eine Zusammenstellung von besonders essenziellen Textpassagen aus Sri Aurobindo’s spirituell-­epischer Dichtung Savitri, die von seiner Lebensgefährtin Mira Alfassa – Die Mutter ausgewählt wurden. Ihre Rezitationen dieser in Englisch gesprochenen Textpassagen wurden auf Tonband aufgenommen.
Über Sri Aurobindo’s Kunst der Dichtung sagt Mira Alfassa – Die Mutter: “Ich sehe Sri Aurobindo’s Ausdrucksweise in ihrer dichterischen Gestalt. Die Textpassagen dienten als Grundlage für die Ausarbeitung von 468 visionären Gemälden, die nach Skizzen und Angaben von Mira Alfassa – Die Mutter von der Malerin Huta Hindocha angefertigt wurden.
Dann entstand unter dem Gesamttitel Meditations on Savitri eine 12-teilige Filmserie auf der Grundlage der Gemälde zu Savitri, verbunden mit den Rezitationen von Mira Alfassa – Die Mutter und Ihrer eigenen Orgelmusik. Diese Filmserie wurde von dem Filmkünstler Michel Montecrossa im Auftrag Mira Alfassa – Die Mutter produziert, der – ebenso in ihrem Auftrag – die Filmaur Multimedia Firma aufgebaut hat, in deren Studios die Meditations on Savitri Filmserie ihre Fertigstellung erhielt.
Auf den nachfolgenden Seiten dieses Buches werden die von Mira Alfassa – Die Mutter ausgewählten Texte zu Savitri, Buch IV bis V in Englisch und Deutsch, verbunden mit Reproduktionen der Gemälde veröffentlicht. Die zu den Textpassagen gehörenden Bilder sind als weitere Steigerung erlebbar auf spirituell erhebende und gewahrseinsteigernde Weise in animierter, filmkünstlerischer Gestaltung zusammen mit dem englischen Originalton der Rezitationen und der Musik von Mira Alfassa – Die Mutter auf den DVDs und Downloads der gesamten Meditations on Savitri Filmproduktionen.
Die Meditations on Savitri Filmserie ist auf diese Weise ein außergewöhnliches, von Mira Alfassa – Die Mutter autorisiertes, ­filmisches Universalkunstwerk, das die Weiten, die Bedeutung und das Bewusstsein von Sri Aurobindo’s spirituell-epischer Dichtung Savitri erschließt, so wie sie von Sri Aurobindo, Mira Alfassa – Die Mutter, Huta Hindocha und Michel Montecrossa durch Poesie, ­Rezitation, Musik, Malerei und filmische Darstellung zum Ausdruck gebracht werden.
Michel Montecrossa Meditations on Savitri are a compilation of most essential text ­passages from Sri Aurobindo‘s spiritual epic poem Savitri, ­selected by his life-partner Mira Alfassa – The Mother. Her recitations of these passages in English language were recorded on tape.
About Sri Aurobindo’s art of poetry Mira Alfassa – The Mother says: “I see Sri Aurobindo’s expression in its poetic form, it has a charm and a simplicity – a simplicity and a softness and a moving charm – that puts you in direct contact with the ‘Real Thing’ much more intimately than all those things of the head.“
The compilation of the text passages served as basis for the creation of 468 visionary paintings created by the painter Huta ­Hindocha according to sketches and specifications given by Mira Alfassa – The Mother. These 468 paintings received the name Meditations on ­Savitri by Mira Alfassa – The Mother.
Then, also under the title Meditations on Savitri, the production of a series of 12 movie presentations of all the Meditations on ­Savitri paintings combined with the recitations of Mira Alfassa – The ­Mother and her own organ music began.
The series was produced by the movie artist Michel Montecrossa with the blessings of Mira Alfassa – The Mother, who – again with her blessings – built up the Filmaur Multimedia Company for finalizing in its studios the Meditations on Savitri movie series.
On the following pages of this book the Savitri text passages Book IV to V, chosen by Mira Alfassa – The Mother, are published in English and German along with the reproductions of the relevant paintings. The images related to the text passages can furthermore be experienced in a spiritually uplifting and awareness intensifying way as animated film art synchronized with the original English soundtrack of the recitations and the music by Mira Alfassa – The Mother released on DVDs and downloads featuring the complete Meditations on Savitri movie series. Thus the Meditations on Savitri series is a grand holistic creation of movie art, authorized by Mira Alfassa – The Mother revealing the vastness, the meaning and the consciousness of Sri Aurobindo’s spiritual epic poem Savitri through the expressive art of poetry, recitation, music, paintings and ­movie art created by Sri Aurobindo, Mira Alfassa – The Mother, Huta ­Hindocha and Michel Montecrossa.
