Guitar-TV: Guitar Chords for Pop & Rock (Book & DVD)

Dear Guitar Learners, Welcome to the English version of Guitar Chords for Pop & Rock. In 2010, The Guitar School from Guitar TV came out as a book in Germany. Since then, it has developed into one of the most popular guitar books for learners in the German-speaking world. This success encouraged me to expand on my teaching methods and so fill a gap that had become evident. Many of my students had said that they were looking for a systematic, easy-to-use reference work for the simpler guitar chords with instruction back-up on video. So here is it – a book that sets out to be a practical guide for your daily guitar exercises. Here you can easily check up on the most common chords in pop and rock music as well as the chords used to back children's songs and folk songs new and old. Also, as you learn more about chord structure, you may be surprised to discover how straightforward the theoretical basics are and how quickly you can grasp the method. In addition, to give you a practical understanding of the chords, care has been taken for the chord diagrams not to be too abstract. Indeed, I have set the chords individually – finger by finger – within the fret, exactly how they should be held. You will find further advice and other tips on the accompanying DVD.
