Martin Robson is a former Caird Research Fellow at the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich. His Ph.D thesis examined British strategic policy from 1806 to 1808. He is the author of The Battle of Trafalgar in the Compass series. he lives in Gosforth, Newcastle Upon Tyne. Ross Watton is a naval writer and illustrator and has produced a number of tities in the Conway Anatomy of the Ship series including The Battleship Warspite, The Aircraft Carrier Victorious and The Queen Mary. Ross lives in Ceredigion, Wales.
