It tells about a little girl who becomes handicapped after being afflicted with polio and how she overcomes the many obstacles that she is faced with in her young life.It tells of her determination to run and play with other children her age despite her handicap, how students knocked her down while trying to pass her because she was too slow, and how she would fall down, get up, and fall down again.
