Prof. Dr. Isabell M. Welpe holds the Chair for Strategy and Organization at Technische Universität München in Munich, Germany. Her research interests are organizational design and behavior, governance, strategic innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as the role of digital technologies and social media for and in organizations. She led the research project 'Pay Professors for Performance?! Entwicklung eines neuen Anreizsystems für Forschende und Lehrende an Hochschulen' which was funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung).

Dr. Jutta Wollersheim is a research associate at the Chair for Strategy and Organization at Technische Universität München in Munich, Germany. Her research interests are, among other things, organizational design and performance management in knowledge-intensive organizations. She used to work in the research project 'Pay Professors for Performance?! Entwicklung eines neuen Anreizsystems für Forschende und Lehrende an Hochschulen' which was funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung). Since March 2014, she leads the junior research group entitled 'The many faces of academic success: Performance and incentives in research and teaching' funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. Additionally, she is a member of the Young Scholars Program of the Bavarian Academy of Humanities and Sciences (Junges Kolleg der Bayerischen Akademie der Wissenschaften).

Dipl.-Psych. Stefanie Ringelhan is a research associate at the Chair for Strategy and Organization at Technische Universität München in Munich, Germany. Her research interests are performance management in knowledge-intensive organizations and organizational behavior. She worked in the research project 'Pay Professors for Performance?! Entwicklung eines neuen Anreizsystems für Forschende und Lehrende an Hochschulen' which was funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung). Since September 2014, she works in the project 'The many faces of academic success: Performance and incentives in research and teaching' funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research.

Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Margit Osterloh Margit Osterloh graduated at the University of Technology in Berlin, did her Ph.D. at the Freie Universität of Berlin and held a chair in Human Resources at the University of Lüneburg, Germany. She was Fellow of the Research School of Social Sciences in Canberra, Australia, and of the Institute of Advanced Study Collegium Budapest, Hungaria. She was a board member of three big companies in Switzerland and Germany and a member of Deutscher Wissenschaftsrat (German Council for Science and Humanities). She is member of several Advisory Boards of German universities. 2007 she got a honorary doctorate from the University of Lüneburg.
