The objective of this book is to showcase recent solutions and discuss the opportunities that AI, blockchain, and even their combinations can present to solve the issue of Internet of Things (IoT) security. It delves into cuttingedge technologies and methodologies, illustrating how these innovations can fortify IoT ecosystems against security threats. The discussion includes a comprehensive analysis of AI techniques such as machine learning and deep learning, which can detect and respond to security breaches in real time. The role of blockchain in ensuring data integrity, transparency, and tamper- proof transactions is also thoroughly examined. Furthermore, this book will present solutions that will help analyze complex patterns in user data and ultimately improve productivity.
Mariya Ouaissa is currently a professor in cybersecurity and networks at the Faculty of Sciences Semlalia, Cadi Ayyad University, Marrakech, Morocco. She holds a Ph.D. obtained in 2019 in computer science and networks from the Laboratory of Modelisation of Mathematics and Computer Science at ENSAM- Moulay Ismail University, Meknes, Morocco. She is a networks and telecom engineer, graduating in 2013 from National School of Applied Sciences, Khouribga, Morocco. She is a co- founder and IT consultant at IT Support and Consulting Center. She was working for the School of Technology of Meknes, Morocco, as a visiting professor from 2013 to 2021. She is a member of the International Association of Engineers and International Association of Online Engineering, and since 2021, she is an ACM Professional Member. She is and expert reviewer with Academic Exchange Information Centre (AEIC) and brand ambassador with Bentham Science. She has served and continues to serve on technical program and organizer committees of several conferences and events and has organized many symposiums, workshops, and conferences as a general chair also as a reviewer of numerous international journals. Ouaissa has made contributions in the fields of information security and privacy, Internet of Things security, and wireless and constrained networks security. Her main research topics are IoT, machine- to- machine (M2M), device- to- device (D2D), wireless sensor network (WSN), cellular networks, and vehicular networks. She has published over 40 papers (book chapters, international journals, and conferences/ workshops), 15 edited books, and 10 special issues as a guest editor. Mariyam Ouaissa is currently an assistant professor in networks and systems at ENSA, Chouaib Doukkali University, El Jadida, Morocco. She received her Ph.D. in 2019 from National Graduate School of Arts and Crafts, Meknes, Morocco, and her engineering degree in 2013 from the National School of Applied Sciences, Khouribga, Morocco. She is a communication and networking researcher and practitioner with industry and academic experience. Ouaissa’s research is multidisciplinary focusing on Internet of Things, machine to machine (M2M), wireless sensor network (WSN), vehicular communications and cellular networks, security networks, congestion overload problem, and the resource allocation management and access control. She is serving as a reviewer for international journals and conferences including IEEE Access, Wireless Communications, and Mobile Computing. Since 2020, she is a member of International Association of Engineers (IAENG) and International Association of Online Engineering, and since 2021, she is an ACM Professional Member. She has published more than 30 research papers (this includes book chapters, peer- reviewed journal articles, and peer- reviewed conference manuscripts), 12 edited books, and six special issues as a guest editor. She has served on program committees and organizing committees of several conferences and events and has organized many symposiums, workshops, and conferences as a general chair. Zakaria Boulouard is currently a professor at the Department of Computer Sciences in the Faculty of Sciences and Techniques Mohammedia, Hassan II University, Casablanca, Morocco. In 2018, he joined the Advanced Smart Systems Research Team at the Computer Sciences Laboratory of Mohammedia. He received his PhD in 2018 from Ibn Zohr University, Morocco and his engineering degree in 2013 from the National School of Applied Sciences, Khouribga, Morocco. His research interests include artificial intelligence, big data visualization and analytics, optimization, and competitive intelligence. Since 2017, he is a member of Draa- Tafilalet Foundation of Experts and Researchers, and since 2020, he is an ACM Professional Member. He has served on program committees and organizing committees of several conferences and events and has organized many symposiums, workshops, and conferences as a general chair. He has served and continues to serve as a reviewer of numerous international conferences and journals. He has published several research papers. This includes book chapters, peer- reviewed journal articles, peer- reviewed conference manuscripts, edited books, and special issue journals. Abhishek Kumar is currently working as an assistant director/ associate professor in the computer science and engineering department in Chandigarh University, Punjab, India. He holds a doctorate in computer science from University of Madras and is a post- doctoral fellow in Ingenium Research Group Lab, Universidad De Castilla- La Mancha, Ciudad Real, Spain. He has done M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering and B.Tech in I.T. from Rajasthan Technical University, Kota, India. He has total academic teaching experience of more than 13 years along with 2 years of teaching assistantship. He has more than 170 publications in reputed, peerreviewed national and international journals, books, and conferences He has guided more than 30 M.Tech projects at national and international levels and 4 Ph.D. scholars who completed their degree under his guidance. His research area includes artificial intelligence, renewable energy image processing, computer vision, data mining, and machine learning. He has been session chair and keynote speaker of many international conferences and webinars in India and abroad. He has been the reviewer for IEEE and Inderscience Journal. He has authored/ co- authored 7 books published internationally and edited 45 books (published and ongoing) with IET, Elsevier, Wiley, IGI GLOBAL Springer, Apple Academic Press, Degruyter, and CRC Press. He has been a member of various national and international professional societies in the field of engineering and research like senior member of IEEE, IAENG (International Association of Engineers), associate member of IRED (Institute of Research Engineers and Doctors). He is a patent holder and got Sir CV Raman National Award for 2018 in young researcher and faculty category from IJRP Group. He is serving as series editor for four books series, Quantum Computing with Degruyter Germany, Intelligent Energy System with Elsevier, and Mathematical Methods in the Digital Age with Degruyter Germany, AI for environment Sustainability with Degruyter Germany. Vandana Sharma is an associate professor at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Delhi National Capital Region, India. Sharma has served NAACaccredited A+ + institutions like Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi and Galgotias University, Greater Noida Campus, and Amity Institute of Information Technology, Amity University, Noida Campus, India. Sharma has 15 + years of teaching experience at the postgraduate level and has guided 100+ student dissertations. Sharma obtained her doctoral degree from Amity University, Masters of Technology and Bachelor of Electronic Commerce degrees from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, a Delhi state university in India. She is a Senior Member of IEEE, member of Women in Engineering Society, and member of IEEE Consumer Technology Society, popularly known as CTSoc. As a keen researcher, she has published 50+ research papers in SCI- and Scopus- indexed international journals and conferences. Sharma has contributed voluntarily as a keynote speaker, session chair, reviewer and technical program committee (TPC) member for reputed international journals and IEEE conferences and has presented her work across India and abroad. Currently, she is a post- doctoral fellow at Lincoln University College, Malaysia. Also, she is an honorary adjunct professor and senior fellow of Scientific Innovation Research Group (SIRG) at Beni Suef University, Egypt, and adjunct professor at Perdana University, Malaysia. Her primary areas of interest include artificial intelligence, blockchain technology, and the Internet of Things (IoT). Keshav Kaushik is an accomplished academician, cybersecurity, and digital forensics expert currently serving as an assistant professor at the Amity School of Engineering and Technology, Amity University Punjab, India. As a key member of the Cybersecurity Centre of Excellence, he has been instrumental in advancing the field of cybersecurity through his dedicated teaching and innovative research. In addition to his academic role, he holds the prestigious position of vice- chairperson for the Meerut ACM Professional Chapter, highlighting his leadership and commitment to the professional community. His academic journey includes a notable stint as a faculty intern during the Summer Faculty Research Fellow Programme 2016 at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar, reflecting his continuous pursuit of knowledge and professional development. His scholarly contributions are extensive and impactful, with over 135 publications to his credit. This includes 25 peer- reviewed articles in SCI/ SCIE/ Scopus- indexed journals and 50+ publications in Scopus- indexed conferences. He is also an inventor, holding one granted patent and six published patents, alongside five granted copyrights. His editorial expertise is showcased by publishing 30 books and 25 book chapters, further cementing his reputation as a thought leader in the field. His professional certifications are a testament to his expertise and commitment to excellence. He is a certified ethical hacker (CEH v11) by EC- Council, a CQI and IRCA Certified ISO/ IEC 27001:2013 Lead Auditor, a Quick Heal Academy Certified Cyber Security Professional (QCSP), and an IBM cybersecurity analyst. His recognition as a Bentham Ambassador by Bentham Science Publishers and his role as a guest editor for the IEEE Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics underscore his influence and authority in cybersecurity. He is a dynamic speaker, having delivered over 50 national and international talks on cybersecurity and digital forensics topics. His mentorship was acknowledged during the Smart India Hackathon 2017, under the aegis of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), with a certificate of appreciation from AICTE, MHRD, and i4c. A two- time GATE qualifier with an impressive 96.07 percentile (2012 and 2016), he has also received accolades from the Uttarakhand Police for his significant contributions to cybercrime investigation training. With a career marked by significant achievements and a profound impact on cybersecurity and digital forensics, he continues to inspire and lead in both academic and professional circles.
