Prof. Canming Yang, born in April 1963, is ethnic Han from Taojiang, Hunan Province. He graduated from Hubei Institute of Finance and Economics with a major in public finance in 1983; obtained his postgraduate degree at Zhongnan University of Finance and Economics with a major in public finance in 1986; and held the degree of Doctor of Economics at Zhongnan University of Finance and Economics with a major in business economics in 1996. He was listed in the first national “New Century Talents Project” and enjoyed the special allowance of the State Council. He served as vice-president and a standing member of the University Council of ZUEL in August 2005, and served as president and a standing member of the University Council of ZUEL since January, 2014. His main research field is Public finance.
