Corporate and individual behaviors are increasingly scrutinized as reports of scandals around the world are frequently becoming the subject of attention. Additionally, the security of data and information and ethical problems that arise when enforcing the appropriate security initiatives are becoming prevalent as well. Current Security Management & Ethical Issues of Information Technology focuses on these issues and more, at a time when the global society greatly needs to re-examine the existing policies and practices.

Rasool Azari is currently Assistant Professor of Operations Management in the School of Business at the University of Redlands, USA, and the previous associate chair of the Department of Management and Business. He holds a Doctor of Science in Engineering Management and an MBA in International Business from George Washington University, a master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from UCLA and a BS in Electrical Engineering from California State University Sacramento. He also was a graduate student of Political Economy and International Affairs at the Freie Universität, Berlin, Germany. His work experience includes years as Project and Design Engineer in interdisciplinary multi-national corporations in the United States and Europe. Since 1995 he has been a Consultant to the United States Department of Commerce/National Institute of Standards and Technology. He has published more than 15 papers in journals and in national and international conference proceedings, and served as track-chair, chair, and discussant for the Western Economic Association (WEA), Western Decision Sciences (WDS), Information Resources Management Association International (IRMA), and the American Society of Business and Behavioral Sciences (ASBBS). He has served as a member of the program committee for IRMA and was a manuscript reviewer for the Journal of Management Education and the Mountain Plains Management Conference. He is a member of the Academy of Management, Decision Sciences Institute (DSI), Institute for Operations Research and the Management Science (INFORMS), Information Resources Management Association International (IRMA), Western Decision Sciences Institute (WDSI), Western Economics Association (WEA), Association of Integrative Studies (AIS), and World Future Society. His research interests include: the impact of technology on society; technological change and globalization and their impact on organizations, economies, and society in general; science and technology policies; and management of technology and innovation.
