Barrie G. Dale is United Utilities Professor of Quality Management and Head of the Manchester School of Management, UMIST. He is co-editor of the International Journal of Quality and Reliability Management and a academician of the International Academy for Quality. His previous books include Quality Costing (Third Edition, 1999), Quality Improvement Through Standards (Second Edition, 1991) and The Road to Quality (1993), Working Partnership (1998), Managing Business Improvement and Quality (1998), Managing Quality and Human Resources (Second edition 1997), Total Quality Management (Blueprint 1999).
