Yanto Chandra is an associate professor in the Department of Applied Social Sciences, Faculty of Health and Social Sciences at Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). His research focuses on organizations that create hybrid (economic and social) value, and how organizations (both for-profit and non-profit) shape the social structures of their communities. His research has been published in leading journals, including the Journal of Business Venturing, the Journal of International Business Studies, VOLUNTAS, and World Development, among others. He is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Social Entrepreneurship and also serves on the editorial board of the Social Enterprise Journal. Dr Chandra was the recipient of the Outstanding Paper Award 2010 from Emerald Publishers, as well as City University of Hong Kong's Teaching Excellence Award in 2016 and Teaching Innovation Award 2017.
