Bridge That Gap! How Schools Can Help Students Get Their First Job and Build the Career They Want by Angela Middleton is a thoughtful and insightful book that will be of invaluable assistance to teachers who really care about the futures of their pupils.

Most education professionals will concede that there is a chasm between school careers advice and the reality for young people in gaining the skills that will help them make it in the real world of employment.

This book showcases Angela's extensive knowledge to explain how a bridge can be built to cross the divide between theory and practice - and will equip teachers with the wherewithal they need to help their pupils fly.

Angela grew up in south-east London. She received limited careers advice and spent 20 years in corporate life for BP Oil and Barclays before starting her first careers-related business in 2002. Angela has twice judged on Richard Branson's Voom panel - advising Richard on the best SMEs to invest in. She is also a regular contributor to public policy - including appearances on a number of Parliamentary Committees. Her business interests include leading apprenticeship company MiddletonMurray and the online careers and fitness coaching programme YourBodyMeansBusiness.com. In June 2018 Angela launched her Limitless manifesto in the House of Commons. Her free podcast series IWant2BA is the first of its kind in the UK. This is Angela's second book in her First Job series.
