Stephanie S. Covington, PhD is an internationally renowned clinician, author, organizational consultant, and lecturer. Dr. Covington specializes in the development and implementation of gender-responsive and trauma-informed services in the public and private sectors. Sandra L. Bloom, MD, is an author, a board-certified psychiatrist, and an associate professor of Health Management and Policy at the Dornsife School of Public Health, Drexel University. Dr. Bloom served as founder and executive director of the Sanctuary programs, inpatient psychiatric programs for the treatment of trauma-related emotional disorders. Since 2005, more than 350 social service, juvenile justice, and mental health organizations have been trained in the Sanctuary Model.
