Pierfranco Malizia , PhD, is currently Professor of Sociology at the Department of Economical, Political and Modern languages Sciences at the LUMSA University in Rome (IT), visiting professor at the ISCEM in Lisboa (PT) and at the UNISINOS of Porto Alegre (BRA); is also performing many activities of research, conferences and seminars in different countries. Above all, his research is involved in social transformations, theory of culture and complex organizations processes. He published, between others, Interculturalism (Milan, 2005), Communic-a-ctions (Milan, 2006), In the Plural (Milan, 2009), Small Societies (Rome, 2010), Contexts and Dynamics (Soveria Mannelli, 2011), Contemporary Sociology (Milan, 2012), Marcas da Sociedade (Curitiba, 2013), Words and Practices (Milan, 2014), Into the Box (Saarbrücken, 2015), among other books and articles in several scientific review in Italy, Portugal, USA, and Brazil. She is chair of International Management and Cross-Cultural management, and she published several works on International Strategies towards transition countries, The impact of culture on International Management, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Cultural competences, and Islamic Countries. She has been working on these topics since 1999 when she started her Phd, which she got in 2002. Council Member of The International Association of Cross-Cultural Management (IACCM), she is in the editorial board of the European Journal of Cross-Cuyltural Competence and Management (EJCCM), and cooperate with several European journals of marketing and management. Fabrizio Maimone has an MA in International Politics (Sapienza University, Rome) and a PhD in Communication Sciences and Complex Organizations (LUMSA University, Rome). He has also a professional specialization in Human Resources Development (Scuola romana di psicologia del lavoro e delle organizzazioni). He is Adjunct Professor of Organizational theory and design at LUMSA University and Lecturer of Communication and Management at LUISS Business School, in Rome. He is Editor in Chief of the European Journal of Cross-cultural Competence and Management (EJCCM), published by Inderscience. He is also member of the board of the International Association of Cross-cultural Competences and Management (IACCM) and fellow of the Research Group on Post-bureaucratic Organizations at LUMSA. Then he is member of the Humanistic Management Networks, of the American Academy of Management and of the European Academy of Management. Moreover, he was Visiting Fellow at Canberra University, Australia. His current areas of research are: intercultural communication and management, “inclusive” culture and management in transnational organizations, communication and HRM in complex organizational systems, theory of flexible and post-bureaucratic organizations, new sustainable forms of organizations, new forms and models of organizational change. He is also a Management Consultant and Trainer. He collaborates with Italian and multinational private and public companies, as Advisor and Management Consultant and Trainer, supporting Top Management, HRM, and Internal Communication Functions in the planning and implementation of strategies and projects and in the design and delivery of learning activities. He is author of several research papers, presented, among others, at SASE, EGOS, IACCM, American Academy of Management, European Academy of Management Conferences, Humanistic Management preconference in Anaheim, California. He served also as chair at 2015 and 2016 EURAM Conference (Organizational Behaviour SIG)’. He is the author of Journal articles, chapters and books, published in Italian, English and French.
