Recently, Gilman has worked on power assets portfolio management in China and South East Asia, which lead projects in energy saving, sustainability, and management enhancement. With background in electrical engineering specializing in power generation, Gilman holds the MSc degree with distinction in Energy from the Heriot-Watt University, UK, and an MBA degree from the Newport University, U.S. He is a doctoral candidate researching project sustainability at the London South Bank University, UK. Gilman is a member of The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) in the UK; a member of The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE); and a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) in the U.S. Gilman is an independent researcher with interest in energy, project success, and project sustainability. He has published articles in academic and professional journals, book chapters, and conference papers. Gilman has focused extensively on sustainability in both academic research and managerial practice. He has developed practical sustainability tools for project managers and promoted awareness of managing project sustainability in the project management community.
