Mike Wright is Professor of Entrepreneurship at Imperial College Business School, Director of the Centre for Management Buyout Research, which he founded in 1986, and a visiting professor at the University of Ghent. He has been an editor of Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Journal of Management Studies and Journal of Technology Transfer and is currently co-editor of Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal and of Academy of Management Perspectives. He has published over 50 books and more than 400 articles in leading international journals. His research focuses on management buyouts, entrepreneurial ownership mobility, academic entrepreneurship, returnee entrepreneurs, habitual entrepreneurs, technology transfer, family firms, venture capital, private equity, business angels, crowdfunding, and related topics. He is Chair of the Society for the Advancement of Management Studies. He is a Past Chair of the Academy of Management Entrepreneurship Division and a recipient of that Division's Mentor Award. He has been ranked #1 worldwide for publications in academic entrepreneurship and in entrepreneurship. He has over 40,000 cites on Google Scholar and an h-index of 104. He is a member of the British Venture Capital Association Research Advisory Committee, has acted as consultant to a wide range of national and international organizations and has made regular presentations at practitioner conferences. His research is regularly covered in the Financial Times, Economist, Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, etc. Kevin Amess earned his PhD from Nottingham University Business School and is currently Associate Professor there. He is a Fellow of the Centre for Management Buyout Research. His research interests mainly focus on corporate governance and restructuring and the economics of internal organisation with a particular interest in the consequences of Leveraged Buyout transactions and private equity. He has published in a range of economics and management journals on the subject of Leveraged Buyouts including Journal of Industrial Economics, Small Business Economics, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, European Economic Review, etc. He has advised government and policy officials on the LBOs including the UK Treasury, Financial Services Authority, the US Government Accountability Office and the OECD. Nicolas Bacon is Professor in Human Resource Management at Cass Business School. His research explores the impact of human resource management practices on organisational performance and employee outcomes in a wide variety of settings including manufacturing firms, unionised workplaces, small firms, medium-sized enterprises, private equity-owned firms, family firms and the public sector. Professor Bacon has published over 50 academic articles in learned journals as well as numerous book chapters and edited the Industrial Relations Journal 2004-2008. He co-edited both The Sage Handbook of Industrial Relations (2009) and The Sage Handbook of Human Resource Management (2010). New authors are currently being recruited for a new and expanded edition of The Sage Handbook of Human Resource Management expected in 2017. He currently serves on the Editorial Boards of Human Relations and The International Journal of Human Resource Management. Donald Siegel is Dean of the School of Business and Professor of Management at the University at Albany, SUNY. Dr. Siegel also serves as President of the Technology Transfer Society, a non-profit organization devoted to interdisciplinary analysis of entrepreneurship and technology transfer from universities and federal laboratories to firms. Dr. Siegel is an editor of the Journal of Management Studies, and the Journal of Technology Transfer, a former co-editor of Academy of Management Perspectives, an associate editor of the Journal of Productivity Analysis, and serves on the editorial boards of eight other journals. He has also co-edited 40 special issues of leading journals in economics, management, and finance.
