This is the second of a two volume text primarily intended for students of beauty therapy both in technical colleges and private schools. It deals with the theoretical and practical aspects of the working conditions and services in the salon and the equipment used for client treatments. The content deliberately extends beyond the basic needs of the examination syllabuses to give the wider appeal as a reference text for teachers of beauty subjects and professional beauty therapists. John V. Simmons has been a member of the Society of Cosmetic Scientists and has represented the Society on the City and Guilds Beauty Therapy Committee since 1977.
