Ms. Schering has served as president of GCHIMA and on FHIMA's board of directors, where she twice received the FHIMA Literary Award. She is also a member of AHIMA and the Assembly on Education (AOE). In addition to a B.S.in business administration from the University of South Florida, she is a graduate of the health information management program at St. Petersburg College, and holds both CCS and RHIA certifications.
