This book offers an introduction to the most important organisational theories, as well as scientific theoretical basis. Both classic, as well as newer organisational theory approaches are being explained and critically explored: Max Weber's analysis of bureaucracy, management studies, Taylorism, the human relations movement and organisational psychology, behavioural science organisation theories, situational approach, institutional economic theories (theory on the right of disposal, agency and transaction cost theory), evolution theories, neo-institutional theory, interpretative theories, network theory and organisations in Luhmann's system theory. Die 7. Auflage des bewährten Lehrbuchs "Organisationstheorien" bietet eine Darstellung und kritische Würdigung der wichtigsten Organisationstheorien. Es erläutert, was Theoriebildung in der Organisationsforschung bedeutet, gibt kurze Überblicke über wichtige historische Theorien und geht auf die derzeit bedeutendsten Theorien der Organisation ein. Die Kapitel zur verhaltenswissenschaftlichen Entscheidungstheorie, dem Situativen Ansatz, den institutionenökonomischen Theorien, der Evolutionstheorie und dem Neo-Institutionalismus wurden grundlegend überarbeitet und aktualisiert. Neu aufgenommen wurden ein Kapitel über "Interpretative Theorien der Organisation" (Elke Weik) sowie ein Kapitel über "Netzwerktheorien der Organisation" (Mark Ebers/Indre Maurer).
