Chris Phillipson is Professor of Applied Social Studies and Social Gerontology at Keele University, UK. His research focuses on policy issues relating to work and retirement. Ross Wilkie is RCUK Fellow in Epidemiology in the Arthritis Research UK National Primary Care Centre at Keele University.
