Millions of visitors come to London every year on holiday, and guess what? They don't all speak perfect English! London Guide in Easy English helps them enjoy their stay by explaining the city in clear, simple language that even basic speakers can understand. The guide covers all the capital's major and minor attractions, hotels, restaurants, parks and green areas and sporting venues, and contains a full directory of necessary information for visitors to London, including advice on working in the city. One of the book's themes is the amazing variety of activities on offer in London, some covered by no other guide, such as whitewater rafting, craft workshops, ski-ing on real snow, visits to courtrooms to watch real trials, and even how to see members of the Royal Family! Packed with exciting ideas and stunning photography, London Guide in Easy English is the ideal travel companion for the many visitors to London looking for a guide book written at an easy level of English.

A modern languages graduate and former teacher, Patrick Gubbins founded and ran one of the UK's largest transcription companies until retiring from it in 2008. He is the founder and managing director of transcription software development firm Tyger Valley Systems. When not in business mode he is a keen walker and London enthusiast. If you see someone speed-walking the streets of the capital with a large camera, a water-bottle, a rucksack full of reference books and an important-looking red clipboard, that is probably him researching his next book. Patrick lives in London with his wife and two small children.
