Heather Connolly was born in Bridge of Weir in Scotland. She completed her doctorate in industrial relations at the University of Warwick in 2008. She spent a year in France undertaking ethnographic field research for her doctorate and worked as a researcher at the European Trade Union Institute in Brussels. Heather was Research Associate at the University of Manchester from 2008 to 2010 and is currently teaching in the field of industrial relations at the University of Warwick.
