Tony has worked in practice and studied at the Universities of London, Birmingham and Worcester, U.K. He is the founder and Director of a social enterprise called Reflective Learning-UK which seeks to improve lives and livelihoods through a new strengths-based methodology called participatory and appreciative action and reflection (PAAR). He is also the founder and Editor-in-Chief of the international, peer-reviewed journal called 'Reflective Practice: International and Multi-disciplinary Perspectives'. Tony is a social entrepreneur and improvement strategist and draws upon his background in positive psychology, health and education to achieve this. He has written or co-authored 23 books and 106 peer reviewed papers in the field of reflective learning for different audiences. His lifelong commitment is to try to develop and sustain processes that improve the quality of peoples' lives and which produce positive social change. Sue is a qualified nurse and midwife and has worked in clinical practice for ten years in a variety of specialist areas. She entered nurse education in 1989 and has worked as a Senior Lecturer at Birmingham City University and at the University of Worcester, UK. She has worked in South America as a volunteer for three years. She has also specialized in nursing older adults and is committed to reflection and reflective practice within the workplace. She is well published and has recently taken on the role of international pathway co-ordinator within the Institute of Health and Society, University of Worcester.
