The Bridge from the Physical to the Spiritual and Moral

This new edition of Rudolf Steiner’s “Bridge Lectures” is published to mark the 100th anniversary of Anthroposophic Medicine in 2020.
The “Bridge Lectures” were given by Rudolf Steiner in December 1920 in Dornach and were especially recommended to young physicians and later to other therapeutic professions as an introduction to the foundations of the anthroposophical understanding of the human being and the world. It is a description that embeds the human organism in the concept of the four elements and the four types of ether, before illustrating how this organism awakens through stages of becoming conscious to the soul abilities of thinking, feeling and will. This thus touches upon the two cardinal questions: How does the spirit and the soul work in the physical organism? And how can a contemporary bridge be found between the scientific approach and the spiritual and moral dimension of man?
