The leading work on how to understand thoroughbred pedigrees.
Racing has changed from a luxury sport to a major industry, attracting many students to the various courses provided. The growth of racing clubs and syndicates has also drawn in an ever increasing section of the community. Some of these individuals will find themselves bewildered by much of the terminology of thoroughbred breeding. This book sets out to explain in layman's language what it is all about: What is meant by thoroughbred? Who is the more important parent - the sire or the dam? What is the point of pedigrees? What is the 'bottom line' and why is it so important? What does inbred 3x4 mean? Is inbreeding harmful or beneficial? Thoroughbred Pedigrees Simplified provides detailed information on all aspects of the thoroughbred horse.
